'Cong's mistake was trusting BJP on Babri Masjid'

Kolkata, Apr 25: Rahul Gandhi said that he would refuse to be the prime minister 'now' as he lacks experience in a press conference on Saturday, Apr 25. Apart from this he answered question on Babri Masjid Demolition and shared his vision for a pro-poor youth congress.

When asked of he would accept role of PM in the near future, he said, "I do not think I have the experience to be the Prime Minister of the country right now."

Patiently taking the media's criticisms against the party in connection with the Babri Masjid demolition, he said, "BJP government in Uttar Pradesh had assured that it would make appropriate arrangements to protect Babri Masjid. We trusted the government which was our biggest mistake."

He said that UPA has always been working on the lines of progressive policies however expressed concern on whether the centre's money was reaching the needy or not.

On the Tamil issue he said, "I have no feelings for LTTE because they killed my father. But I am concerned about Tamils."
