Monster Worldwide names Sanjay Modi as new MD

New York, Apr 22: Monster announced the appointment of Sanjay Modi as managing director for India, the Middle East and Southeast Asia, effective immediately on Wednesday, Apr 22.

Prior to this assignment, he was the company's head of sales, India.

"Sanjay has been a leader at Monster since he joined the company and his experience will serve him well in this new role," said Sal Iannuzzi, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Monster Worldwide.

"He has helped Monster grow, not only in India but also across the entire Southeast Asian and Middle East Region, which has had a significant impact on the company's global footprint. Given his deep understanding of our business and his strong knowledge of the region, he is an excellent choice for this position," Iannuzzi added.

"We are already a leading player in the Indian, Middle Eastern and Southeast Asian markets, with significant opportunity to grow. I am absolutely delighted to be assigned this responsibility," said Modi.

Before joining Monster in 2001, Modi served at Indiaconstruction.com as the general manager of operations, and in business roles at NIIT Ltd. and Ingersoll Rand India Ltd.

Modi holds a master's degree in business management from the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Delhi College of Engineering.
