Advani confident of getting mandate

Bangalore /Tirupathi, Apr 22 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Prime Ministerial candidate L K Advani has expressed confidence that his party led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would get people's mandate in the general polls.

Advani, who was unveiling the party's 'Vision Document' on infrastructure development for the country, here on Tuesday, said that the NDA would emerge as the single largest grouping in Parliament.

"This alliance would be the largest alliance in the Parliament. Now what exactly would be the number I cannot predict, but I feel confident that we would be able to get the mandate of the people," Advani said.

Meanwhile, in Tirupathi, Praja Rajyam Party chief Chiranjeevi staged a road show.

Chiarnjeevi's party, which is making its political debut in Andhra Pradesh, is pitted against the coalition of the Telugu Desam Party and Telangana Rashtriya Samiti, Congress party.

The Assembly polls are simultaneously being held in the State along with the Parliament polls. (ANI)
