Salman Khan campaigns for his father's friend

Kalyan (Thane), Apr 21 (ANI): Thousands of fans in Kalyan region of Maharashtra gathered to catch a glimpse of Bollywood actor Salman Khan, who campaigned for Vasant Dhaukare, a friend of his father and the candidate of the Nationalist Congress Party.

"My daddy has asked me to work for Dhaukare Their friendship is very old. Dhaukare's heart is as white as his shirt," said Khan.

Dhaukare is contesting as a nominee of the NCP, from Kalyan parliamentary constituency.

Khan, who had earlier also campaigned for his friends cutting across party lines, appealed to the people to vote for the candidate whose focus is development.

"Vote for the person who works for you and gives you better life and who is not only concerned of himself. Your objective should be work and not religion," he added. (ANI)
