Moily claims his constituency is free from caste considerations
Chikkballapur (Karnataka), Apr 21 (ANI): Senior Congress leader and former Karnataka Chief Minister M. Veerappa Moily has said that his constituency is free from all caste considerations.
Moily, who is contesting elections from the Chikkballapur parliamentary constituency, described his constituency as democratic and secular.
"If you want to find the real democratic values, you will find it in this constituency. The caste never played any game here. I would like to sustain that kind of culture, which is also the culture symbolized by the Congress party," Moily said while addressing an election rally here.
Moily also criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for its politics of hate and division.
"We are opposed to certain principals, particularly of the BJP, which has become a menace to this country. The BJP is dividing the country and the people. The BJP thinks that by resorting to violence and hate politics they will gain," Moily said.
Chikkballapur will go to polls on April 23. (ANI)
