Three killed in suspected US drone attack in South Waziristan
Peshawar, Apr. 19 (ANI): Three persons were reportedly killed on Sunday in a suspected US drone strike targeted at a militant hideout in Gangi Khel town of South Waziristan district.
The Dawn quoted a security official of the region, as saying five other persons were also injured in the attack.
He said the missiles targeted a house belonging to a local tribesman, which was destroyed completely.
Local administration official Shahab Ali Shah confirmed that it was a drone attack.
This was the second such missile hit in the Gangi Khel region which is situated five kilometres west of Wana, the main town in South Waziristan district.
According to an estimate 350 people have been killed in more than 35 missile strikes in the tribal region along the Pakistan Afghanistan border since August 2008. (ANI)
