Nitish Kumar describes Lalu's remarks about Advani 'clear'
Patna, Apr 19 (ANI): Senior Janata Dal (United) leader and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday said that there was nothing wrong in Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad's statement on BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani and should not have been given so much hype by media.
"Lalu's statement was very clear. I don't know why it got hyped that he slammed Advani. It was clear from his statement that he was soft on Advani and was harsh on the Congress. The word 'Alamdar' has a positive meaning attached to it," Kumar told reporters here.
On Saturday, a TV channel had reported that Lalu used an abusive term for Advani while talking about the Babri mosque demolition.
Lalu, however, had quickly clarified the Urdu word, the man who leads religious processions with a flag in hand, that he had used for Advani.
The TV channel later withdrew the report apparently after cross-checking Lalu's remark and clarification. (ANI)
