US plans to block Taliban's illegal airwaves
Washington, Apr 18: According to a report in The News, the Pentagon is working to jam the Taliban's illegal FM radio frequencies in Pakistan's ungoverned tribal areas along the Afghan border, as these are the popular tools used by the militants to plan attacks.
The US officials are also chalking out a programme to block those Pakistani websites and chatrooms which are being used by the extremists to provoke young people to join the war against US, and also to justify their terror acts.
Officials believe that it is very necessary to take substantial steps to contain the 'psychological operations' of the extremists.
The United States believe that it was there psychological operations that were needed for shaking the stability of the militants.
