Pak-Taliban chief says sharia-opposing politicians no longer Muslims

Mingora, Apr. 18 (ANI): Pak-Taliban chief Sufi Muhammad has said that the National Assembly members who opposed the peace deal between the Pakistan Government and the Taliban in Swat, are no more Muslims.

The Tehreek Nifaz-e-Shariat-e-Muhammadi chief was quoted by the Daily Times as saying, that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain had nothing to do with Islam.

He, however, praised the Awami National Party for proving its love for Islam. He also praised parliament for the approval of the draft Nizam-e-Adl Regulation 2009.

Talking from Maidan Kambar in Dir District, Muhammad said Taliban had promised to lay down their weapons after the implementation of sharia in Malakand division.

Muhammad also appealed to the people to attend the April 19 public meeting at Mingora's Grassy Ground, and show the rest of the country how much the people of Malakand division loved Islam.

He is expected to make an announcement on the Nizam-e-Adl regulation in the area.

The militant outfit chief urged the government to appoint qazis across the division. (ANI)
