Filing of nominations for 4th phase of LS elections over
New Delhi, April 18 (ANI): The last day for filing of nominations for the fourth phase of the ongoing parliamentary elections concluded on Saturday.
Elections for the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha polls are scheduled to be held for 85 seats on May 7, 2009.
This phase will witness elections on 25 seats in Rajasthan, 18 in Uttar Pradesh, 17 in West Bengal, 10 in Haryana, seven in Delhi, four in Punjab, three in Bihar and one in Jammu and Kashmir.
It's a five-phase election and the polls for the first phase were held on April 16 in 17 States. The other four phases will see elections on April 23, April 30, May 7 and May 13 in rest of the country.
The counting of votes will be conducted on May 16. (ANI)
