Tim Roemer, new US Ambassador to India?

Washington, Apr 17: A foreign policy magazine claimed in its web post that Tim Roemer, the former Democrat Congressman from Indiana will be the next US Ambassador to India. Roemer is currently the president of Centre for National Policy (CNP), a Washington-based think tank.

Roemer also serves the Washington Institute for Near East Policy's Presidential Task Force on Combating the Ideology of Radical Extremism, and the National Parks Second Century Commission.

52-yeaqr-old Roemer had represented Indiana's Third District from 1991 to 2003. He was one of the key person who endorsed Obama in his early electoral campaign phase.
