You can't land in Britain if you're carrying just lingerie!
London, April 14 (ANI): A Brazilian woman was refused entry to the UK after border officials discovered only three T-shirts, a dressing gown and a large quantity of lingerie in her luggage.
UK Border Agency officials said they suspected the 32-year-old of being involved in the sex industry.
When the woman arrived at Newcastle Airport on a flight from Geneva, she told the officers that she was only on a four-day visit.
Airport staff became suspicious when she could not say what she would be doing in the UK other than "seeing Newcastle city centre".
The same woman had failed to get in to the UK at Belfast Airport three months ago after a baggage search revealed a collection of sexual paraphernalia including an address book containing details for numerous male contacts, escort agencies and sex sites.
After she initially denied being in the sex industry, the woman eventually admitted her intention to provide "escort services" in Northern Ireland and she was removed from the UK.
The woman was once again refused entry to the UK on April 4. She was detained and removed back to Geneva the same day.
"We routinely make checks to ensure that people wanting to visit the UK have not previously tried to circumvent our immigration laws. Visitors to the UK must play by the rules. Those who do not are refused entry and sent home," the Sun quoted a UK Border Agency spokesman as saying. (ANI)
