1,00,000 ethnic Tamils rally in London

London, Apr 12: Demanding immediate halt to the ongoing Sri Lanka war and attack on Tamil Tigers (LTTE) atleast 1,00,000 people marched in London on Sunday, Apr 12.

The Ethnic Tamil protesters marched through the streets of London, brandishing Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam aka LTTE's flags. The protesters urged UK to suspend development aid to Sri Lanka. Lankan government had earlier refused to stop war against LTTE claiming that it is close to victory. But the offensive has sent the civilian death toll soaring and led to international criticism.
