Pakistan asks Indian to share intelligence on Manmohan's statement on Taliban
Islamabad, Apr. 11 (ANI): Pakistan's Interior Advisor Rehman Malik on Saturday asked Indian administration for intelligence sharing so that all necessary steps could be taken to prevent Taliban threat during elections.
"Because the statement has come from the highest Indian authority so, we have made a request to the Indian administration for intelligence sharing so that all necessary steps could be taken to prevent Taliban threat during elections," Malik said.
Malik has taken notice of the statement of Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh in which he said he saw Taliban threat during upcoming elections.
Malik said it was now up to the Indian authorities to provide information in this regard, as they were facing the common enemy.
"We don't want recurrence of incidents like Mumbai attacks," Malik asserted.
When asked about the arrest of 11 Pakistanis in Britain, he said the government has asked the FIA to take up the matter with Interpol.
"We have also asked the Foreign Ministry to obtain information from Britain in this regard to find out if they are really Pakistanis," the News quoted Malik as saying. (ANI)
