China denies hacking, US agrees

Beijing, Apr 10: China denied the media reports claiming that the Chinese cyber-spies have hacked into the US electrical grid.

"The intrusion doesn't exist at all," Xinhua quoted Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu, as saying.

Reports from several international news agencies stated that spies from China, Russia and other countries have penetrated the US electrical grid leaving behind doftware programs that could be used to disrupt the system.

Jiang Yu denied the reports and added, "I have also noticed that the US White House had denied the media reports. We hope that the concerned media will prudently deal with some groundless remarks, especially those concerning accusations against China."
