Malaysian Indian Congress seeks permanent spot for Tamil schools

Kuala Lumpur, Apr 9 (ANI): The Malaysian Indian Congress is taking action to ensure a permanent place for the Gelang Patah Tamil school in Nusajaya, the newly developed area in Johor.

The school was originally called Hukla Estate Tamil School, but due to the rapid development in the area, it was moved to its temporary location and renamed, Tamil Nesan quoted Johor MIC chief K.S. Balakrishnan, as saying.

Speaking to reporters after opening the school's 34th annual parent-teacher association meeting in Gelang Patah on Sunday, he said parents must not only monitor their children's performance, but should meet with the teachers frequently to identify their weaknesses. (ANI)
