Elect NDA for a safe and strong India, says Modi
Bijaur (Karnataka), Apr 9 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday appealed people to elect the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) for a strong and safe India.
"The Congress, which ruled the country for about 60 years, has failed to counter terrorism. I appeal to people to vote for the BJP-led NDA government for a strong and safe India," Modi said while addressing an election rally here.
The Chief Minister alleged that the Congress was engaged in vote bank politics.
"It is dangerous for the country," he added.
Modi blamed the Congress for abating terrorism, saying more youngsters died in terror attacks than in war against Pakistan.
"The people's safety and national security have been compromised by the UPA's soft policy on terrorism. We need firm measures to fight terrorism. The UPA government had failed to hang Afzal Guru, convicted in the 2001 Parliament attack" Modi added. (ANI)
