Wipro lay off 33 employees

Bangalore, Apr 8: Wipro technologies reportedly sacked as many as 33 of its employees who were part of company's candidate relationship management team. It seems now even the HR teams are too not spared of layoffs and pink slips.

The laid off employees were particularly responsible for talent acquisition. But as recession hit company stopped hiring, these recruiters had little to do. The employee were first told on Mar 17 regarding layoff and by Mar 30 all the team members were relieved and the team was dissolved.
