Network18 acquires Capital18 Media Advisors

Monday, Apr 8: The media firm Network 18 has announced about its acquisition of Capital18 Media Advisory Firm, on Monday, Apr 6; which would be effective from Jan 1, 2009.

"The company has acquired the Investment Advisory business of Capital18 Media Advisors... along with the related contracts and employees," Network 18 Media & Investments said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

However, the company refused to reveal financial details of this acquisition.

Network18, a leading media house comprises of CNBC-TV and CNBC Awaaz, two business TV news channels; Web18, an internet portal and Newswire18, a financial informantion and news terminal.
