Washington, Apr. 8 (ANI): There is no comparison between the additional aid being offered to Pakistan and Afghanistan by the Obama administration, and the bail-out package for tackling the economic meltdown in America, said Pakistan's envoy to the United States Hussain Haqqani.

"The US's economic packages for Pakistan keep no status in comparison with the bailout package sought for US itself to tackle ongoing global economic meltdown in America," The News quoted Haqqani, as saying.

The United States must allocate 30 billion dollars as aid for Afghanistan and Pakistan for anti-terror operations against Al-Qaeda and Taliban, he said.

"Five billion dollars needed for Pakistan and Afghanistan every year from US and its allied countries for training of local people to fight against Taliban and al-Qaeda here in this part of the world," Haqqani said.

He also said that militants wished to destabilize Pakistan, and hence, US's additional economic aid package to slash anti-US sentiments and fight al-Qaeda was utterly necessary.Haqqani, however, rejected Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs Admiral Mike Mullen's claims that ISI had links with Taliban.
