John Mayer says recent split song not about Jennifer Aniston

London, Apr 7 (ANI): American musician John Mayer has revealed that his recent song about a split is not about his former lover Jennifer Aniston.

It was rumored that the song in question was about Jennifer, after Mayer released his new tune at the Heartbreak Warfare in U.S. concert just a month after ending his romance with the 'Bruce Almighty' actress.

The lyrics of the song are: "No one really every wins/In heartbreak warfare... Drop his name/Push it in and twist the knife again/Watch my face/As I pretend to feel no pain."

However, John Mayer has rebuffed claims that the song is about Jennifer.

"The songs are subjective. The listeners are free to interpret and apply them to their own lives," the Daily star quoted his spokesman as saying. (ANI)
