Chris Brown pleads not guilty to Rihanna-beating charges
London, April 7 (ANI): Chris Brown recently pleaded not guilty to two felony counts over his alleged beating of girlfriend Rihanna.
The R 'n' B singer, who appeared in a Los Angeles court on April 6, denied charges of assaulting and threatening the 'Umbrella' hitmaker.
The 19-year-old was charged with allegedly punching, choking, and biting Rihanna before the Grammy Awards on February 8.Brown, who could be sentenced to five years in jail if found guilty, will next return to court in three weeks' time, reports the BBC.
He had apologised after the incident, saying he was "sorry and saddened" and was seeking counseling.
Meanwhile, Rihanna's attorney, Donald Etra, said if required, his client would testify as a witness in the case. (ANI)
