Separated parties will enter into post poll alliance with NDA: Rajnath
Ghaziabad, Apr. 5 (ANI): Unfazed by the shrinking base of the National Democratic Alliance, BJP president Rajnath Singh has said that many of the divorced parties will enter into a post poll alliance with NDA.
"I want to reveal that the parties which are not supporting us or allied with us today in a pre poll scenario have assured that they will join NDA after the results are out," BJP president Rajnath Singh said in an exclusive interview with ANI.
Singh said that talks are on with many political parties, but refused to reveal the names citing strategic reasons.
According to the BJP sources, Gujrat Chief Minister Narendra Modi is in close touch with AIADMK supremo, while BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Lal Krishna Advani shares a special bond with Trinamool chief Mamata Banerjee.
Downplaying the loss of Biju Janata Dal in Orissa, Singh said: "BJD's influence was confined to 21 constituencies of Orissa, we have lost BJD but we have gained RLD, INLD, AGP which has influence in 49 Lok Sabha seats."
Singh also rapped Election Commission for invoking National Security Act on Varun Gandhi for alleged communal speech in Pilibhit, and demanded forensic probe of the speech copy.
"Even if the model code of conduct is breached there are other provisions to punish the culprit but alleging Varun for attempt to murder and invoking NSA on him is humiliating," he said.
Singh urged the Congress to lift the shroud of secrecy over the Swiss Bank account, adding that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has not spoken with clarity on the issue during the G 20 summit.
"We believe that a lot of Black Money is being generated during this Congress regime and in this era of meltdown that money should come out, it is not only us who are saying this but G 20 summit has also urged to make the tax heavens transparent," he said.
BJP president hit back on congress for alleging that the BJP manifesto is 70 percent carbon copy of Congress policies.
"We have provided rice at one rupee a kilo, our party ruled states like Chattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh are already distributing subsidized wheat and rice, it is not BJP but the congress who have copied our ideas," he said. By Naveen Kapoor (ANI)
