Mayawati spits fire at Maneka

Lucknow, Apr 4: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati came down heavily upon BJP leader Maneka Gandhi and mother of Varun Gandhi on Saturday, Apr 4.

"Maneka Gandhi is mother of one person, I take care of hundreds," said Mayawati, reacting to Maneka's statement that Mayawati did not understand a mother's pain.

Earlier Maneka Gandhi was denied permission to meet her son Varun in Etah Jail on Friday, Apr 3. Maneka had said that Mayawati cannot understand the pain of a mother and called Maya's restriction as frivolous and result of political vendetta.

Hitting back on Maneka, Mayawati said, "I just want to tell her that she is the mother of just one son, but I take care of hundreds of people."

The BSP chief added, “It is not necessary to be a mother to be loving and caring. Maneka should seek pardon from me for what she said yesterday. "
