Priyanka Gandhi’s father-in-law hangs himself

New Delhi, Apr 4: Rajinder Vadra, the father-in-law of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, was found dead under mysterious circumstances at a guest house in South Delhi on Friday, Apr 3.

Highly place sources said he was found hanging from a celing fan in the guest house. Vadra's body was found by a room attendant at around 9.30 am in City Inn, where he had been staying for the last fortnight.

The body was first taken to a hospital in Saket from where it was later shifted to the Safdarjung Hospital for post-mortem. “The post-mortem was necessitated as he was brought dead to the hospital," a police officer said.

The body was handed over to Rajendra Vadra"s son Robert Vadra in the afternoon. The cremation took place at the Lodhi Road crematorium. Congress president Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul and daughter Priyanka were also present.

It is learnt that Rajendra Vadra had been staying in the guesthouse for the past several days and was undergoing treatment at a local hospital for a liver ailment. He was discharged recently. Vadra ran a handicrafts business at Moradabad in UP.
