Neelam Kapur assumes office as Principal Director General, Press Information Bureau
New Delhi, Apr 1 (ANI): Neelam Kapur on Wednesday assumed office as Principal Director General (Media and Communications) in the Press Information Bureau (PIB).
Neelam Kapur succeeds Umakant Mishra who retired yesterday.
A 1982 batch officer of the Indian Information Service (IIS), Neelam Kapur has held various posts in the different media units of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
In her long spanning career, she has been DG, Dirctorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity (DAVP); Director of Directorate of Film Festivals; and Registrar of Newspapers.
Kapur has also worked in National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO) and handled publicity for Ministries of Finance, Information and Broadcasting, Water Resources in her previous stint at PIB. (ANI)
