The pilgrims were travelling from the Naina Devi in Himachal Pradesh after praying at the shrine as part of Navratra festival. On returning, their truck overturned near Anandpur Sahib.

The injured were rushed to the govt hospital in Anandpur Sahib for treatment. Six of them, who were in serious condition, were taken to the Post-graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) at Chandigarh, 100 km from the accident spot, police officials said.
