BBC chiefs plan to 'sex up' Strictly Come Dancing
London, Mar 30 (ANI): BBC chiefs are planning to draw a younger audience for Strictly Come Dancing by "sexing up" the show.
The British TV show wants to follow the US version of the hit Dancing With The Stars, which has more than 20million viewers in the States, and BBC1 producers even have plans of bringing over more American dancers.
They would like to make the routines raunchier, and have dancers like Rachel Stevens and partner Vincent Simone.
They are even said to have signed up some top celebrities.
"No one could ever say Strictly is not a huge hit. We can't compete with the Americans' massive budget, but we realise the dancers are younger and sexier," the Sun quoted a source as saying.
"Strictly goes head to head with The X Factor, which has a lot of young viewers. We want to steal some of their 16-23 audience," the source added.
The producers have also tried to import some of the glamour of the US show by hiring American dancers Brian Fortuna and Kristina Rihanoff. (ANI)
