Lalu files nomination for Saran seat
Chapra (Bihar), Mar 28 (ANI): Railway Minister Lalu Prasad on Saturday filed his nomination papers from the Saran constituency for the upcoming general elections.
Lalu, who was accompanied by Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan, filed his papers before Additional District Magistrate Madan Pandey, who is the returning officer for the seat.
In 2004, Lalu had won the Chapra seat defeating former Minister of Civil Aviation and BJP's spokesman Rajiv Pratap Rudy by 60,423 votes.
The RJD chief, who currently represents Chapra, will contest from Saran as the seat was re-christened due to delimitation. He will also contest from Pataliputra seat. (ANI)
