Assam Chief Minister Gogoi denies receiving notice from Election Commission
Guwahati, Mar 28 (ANI): Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on Saturday said he had not received any notice from the Election Commission (EC) for his reported statement concerning mobilisation of resources from the industry.
"The EC has not given me any notice till now. I don't know if it will come later", Gogoi told reporters here.
It was reported that Gogoi had said that he had gone to the tea gardens to collect money from the tea industry for the upcoming general elections.
"Every party take money from the industries for the polls," he added.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) submitted a CD containing the Chief Minister's speech to the Election Commissioner Navin Chawla during his visit here this week. (ANI)
