Danny Boyle all set to lead Shanghai fest jury

Washington, Mar 26 (ANI): 'Slumdog Millionaire' director Danny Boyle will be the leading member of the jury at the Shanghai Film Festival.

The Oscar-winner filmmaker told the Xinhua news agency that he had never been on a fest jury before.

Boyle also revealed his plans to make a flick in China.

"When you have a city that is full of people and stories like Mumbai, Beijing or Shanghai, it's just so much excitement and potential for a filmmaker. It's like a dream come true," Variety magazine quoted him as saying.

The Shanghai fest, which runs from June 13-21, will include more than 600 features.

As many as 200 shorts have already been submitted to the fest committee. (ANI)
