Washington, Mar 25 (ANI): King of pop Michael Jackson's associate is said to have threatened auctioneer Darren Julien with harm from the Nation of Islam if they did not stop the auction of the singer's memorabilia.

Julien and his partner Martin Nolan entered affidavits into Los Angeles Superior Court regarding the threat about the auction, which is to take place in Los Angeles next month.

The auctioneer also revealed that Jacko's representative, James R. Weller, had met him and Nolan on February 9, 2009 and had made the veiled threat on behalf of Jackson and Tohme R. Tohme.

"During the meeting, Weller told Martin and me that our lives would be in danger if we did not postpone the auction," Fox News quoted Julien as saying in the statement.

"Weller said if we refused to postpone it, we would be in danger from 'Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam' those people are very protective of Michael.

"He told us that Dr. Tohme and Michael Jackson wanted to give the message to us that 'our lives are at stake and there will be bloodshed'," he stated.

The next day, Tohme insisted on meeting Julien and Nolan at a Starbucks, Julien stated in the declaration.

"At that meeting, Tohme denied any knowledge of Weller's threats, and said that he accepted the auction would need to proceed as agreed," he added. (ANI)
