No plans to enter politics: Priyanka Gandhi
Amethi, Mar 24 (ANI): Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the daughter of Congress President Sonia Gandhi, on Tuesday said she had no plans to contest elections or enter politics but would continue campaigning for the Congress.
Talking to the reporters here, Priyanka said, "Like previous years, I will oversee campaigning in Amethi and Rae Bareli. I have no intentions to enter politics or to contest elections."
Priyanka is on a two-day tour of Amethi and Rae Bareli-constituencies represented by brother Rahul Gandhi and mother Sonia Gandhi respectively.
She met senior party leaders and MLAs last night to review poll preparations in the two constituencies.
Projecting the Congress as the most responsible party towards the issue of development in the country, Priyanka said, "Except Congress, none of the political parties has development on its agenda as a poll issue. The party will fight Lok Sabha polls on this issue."
Priyanka had earlier campaigned for Sonia in the 2004 and 1999 parliamentary elections. (ANI)
