Bangalore tops 3rd in 'IT friendly destinations'
Washington, Mar 23: A report in PC Authority states that top ten IT destinations that are 'IT friendly'. The top ten lsit has Bangalore as the third IT destination. Called as the 'Silicon Valley of India', Bangalore accounts for more than one third of all IT jobs in the country and is home to some of the biggest names in worldwide technology. Many local start ups have taken birth in the city and have outgrown to such an extent that they are procuring IT infrastructure of bankrupted Western companies.
Cluster of firms like set up for business in 'clusters', like Electronics City and Whitefield, and students are encouraged to train in IT to provide a workforce. The city has not only benefited the IT workers, but has helped the Indian economy by bringing in billions in revenue.
The Companies have a large number of employees to choose from, extensive support from the government and a relatively low cost of living in comparison with other countries. This has created a sort of perfect storm for the growth of Bangalore's IT industry.
