Raj Thackeray booked for hate speech
Nashik, Mar 22 (ANI): The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray on Sunday booked on charges of violating the model code of conduct and promoting enmity between groups.
Police registered a case against Raj, a day after he revived his anti-north Indian campaign at a poll rally here.
According to police officials, a case has been registered against The MNS chief at the Sarkarwada police station.
Raj has been charged under Section 153 (A) of Indian Penal Code and Section 125 of the Representative of People Act.
On March 21, Raj Thackeray had accused the Maharashtrian leaders of having 'no affection' for the state and urged voters to elect his party candidates to uphold the dignity of Maharashtrian people. (ANI)
