CPI will not support Cong-led Govt: Bardhan
New Delhi, Mar 21: CPI on Saturday, Mar 21 ruled out the possibility of supporting a Congress-led government after the general elections and indicated that it would not mind Congress supporting a Third Front government from outside.
"Why should we refuse if somebody wants to support us but it is absolutely clear that we will not support Congress" government in the post-poll scenario, CPI General Secretary AB Bardhan told.
He said that if Congress does not have any problems in supporting policies like neo liberal economic policies, independent foreign policy annd BJP's communal agenda, let them support. He cleared that he would stand by the manifesto and its policies.
When asked whether Congress was 'untouchable' for them , he said "untouchability is a very bad word. Please don't use it. We are fighting against the BJP as also against the Congress."
