NCP may field Ajay Jadeja or Amisha Patel from Rajkot

Rajkot, Mar 20 (ANI): The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Gujarat president, Jayant Patel, on Friday said that the party could field either former cricketer Ajay Jadeja or Bollywood actress Amisha Patel from Rajkot parliamentary constituency.

"It is true that we are going to field a celebrity from the Rajkot seat. The choice is between Ajay Jadeja and Amisha Patel. The central leadership will decide who should be fielded from Rajkot," Patel said.

The NCP leader said the popularity of these celebrities would get victory for the party.

"Star value certainly works everywhere in the country. Both Amisha Patel and Ajay Jadeja have their roots in Gujarat. The celebrity status and the popularity of the two will help us win," he said.

Patel said that the party could also field another celebrity from the Ahmedabad (East) constituency. (ANI)
