'Monster father' of Austria sentenced to life
Austria, Mar 20: The jury at St Polten court sentenced Josef Fritzl to life after finding him guilty on all counts like negligent murder, enslavement, incest, rape, coercion and false imprisonment. He will serve his sentence in a psychiatric institution, his lawyer said.

fathering
seven
children
with
her
and
causing
the
death
of
his
own
infant
son.
Fritzl
accepted
the
verdicts
and
waived
his
right
to
appeal.
"I accept the verdict," the 73-year-old Austrian told the court after Thursday, Mar 19 unanimous decision by the three-man, five-woman jury in a court west of Vienna. The prosecution also approved it, meaning the trial outcome cannot be appealed.
By giving Fritzl a life sentence, the jury ensured he received the maximum punishment for the crimes he committed over more than two decades.
