'Microsoft still keen on Yahoo buyout'

New York, Mar 20: Steve Ballmer, the Chief Executive of Microsoft said the internet giant is still interested in buying part of Yahoo Inc. He said that the deal would help improve Microsoft's web search business. Ballmer added that more people using search engine means more advertisers.

Steve Ballmer while congratulating Carol Bartz the new Yahoo! CEO said he would like to hold talks with her regarding a possible deal. Microsoft which has several times tried to strike a deal with Yahoo is in the process of developing its own search technology and one of such concept is known as 'Kumo' internally.
