Sid Vicious voted 'Most Controversial Rocker Of All Time'

London, Mar 18 (ANI): Former Sex Pistols bassist Sid Vicious has been named the 'Most Controversial Rocker Of All Time'.

Vicious - real name John Ritchie - topped a poll of 2,000 music fans to find the ultimate rock wildman, scooping 25 per cent of the vote, reports the Daily Star.

He died of a heroin overdose in 1979, months after he was accused of murdering his girlfriend Nancy Spungen.

Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne, who famously bit the head off a bat during a concert, came second.

Rolling Stones star Keith Richards landed the third spot in the Orange.co.uk survey.

Troubled British singer Amy Winehouse stood fourth for her former hard partying ways.

King of Pop Michael Jackson - whose career has been rocked by a string of child abuse scandals - rounded off the top five.
