Alex Rodriguez says he often takes pal Madonna's advice

Washington, March 18 (ANI): Baseball ace Alex Rodriguez has lifted dust off reports alleging his romantic involvement with Madonna, insisting he often takes advice from her as a pal.

The two made headlines throughout 2008 after being speculated to be dating, with reports even suggesting their relationship to be the reason behind their failed marriages.

But the pair refused to confirm the reports, and now the New York Yankee has revealed if there was ever anything that he felt for the Queen of Pop, it was a lot of respect.

"We're friends," Contactmusic quoted him as telling Details magazine.

"She's an amazing entertainer. And it's been amazing how she's been able to stay on top for three decades. I have a lot of respect for her.

"If there ever was any situation, she's a great ear to have," he added. (ANI)
