Cheryl Cole dealt another blow by brother's arrest

London, Mar 17 (ANI): Brit singer Cheryl Cole has been dealt another blow by another man in her life, her brother, who was arrested for assault.

Cole's brother Andrew Tweedy admitted on March 16 that he assaulted a man by spraying CS gas in his face and temporarily blinded him, and also to possession of an offensive weapon.

Tweedy, 28, will be sentenced at Newcastle Crown Court next month, but he has got so many previous convictions that a jail term is inevitable.

"He has been advised the court will be looking at a custodial sentence," the Sun quoted his barrister Paul Caulfield as saying.

This is not the first time that Cole's brother has landed himself in trouble, his problems started when he was just 13, and now he has more than 70 convictions, including robbery and attacking the police.

The Girls Aloud member is said to be heartbroken by her brother's string of drink and drug-fuelled convictions for violence, but is refusing to give up on him.

"I've told Cheryl she should be ashamed, but she says she'll never give up on me," Tweedy revealed he had told his sister last year. (ANI)
