10 killed, 30 wounded in Afghan suicide blasts

Kandahar, Mar 16: Two separate suicide bombings in southern Afghanistan has claimed 10 lives and has left 30 wounded on Monday, Mar 16. Almost nine western soldiers along with several other civilians and militants in Afghanistan have been killed in Afghanistan's growing Taliban-led insurgency.

One of the suicide attack was in Lashkar Gah outside the provincial police headquarters of Helmand province. "Nine bodies have been brought to our hospital," Helmand health department chief Enayatullah Ghafari said.

Another bomber detonated explosives strapped to his body outside the police headquarters in Delaram district of Farah province.

At least one police officer was killed and three other people were wounded, police spokesman Abdul Rauf Ahmadi said.
