Stable Pakistan in India's interest: Farooq Abdullah
Pulwama (J-K), Mar 13 (ANI): Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah has said that a stable Pakistan is in India's interest.
"We hope that Pakistan will resolve their issue and democracy will stay in Pakistan. Their democracy is important for all of us and a strong Pakistan is good for India as well," Farooq said on the sidelines of an election meeting in Pulwama district on Thursday.
The patron of the state's National Conference party said that the present turmoil in the neighbouring country would affect the entire South Asian region.
Pakistan has been going through a crisis just a year after an election returned the country to civilian rule.
The political turmoil in Pakistan is deepening as the government and the opposition are on a warpath on the issue of reinstatement of judges sacked by the former President Pervez Musharraf in 2007. (ANI)
