24 hrs for Zardari to end Pak deadlock

Islamabad, Mar 13: Pakistan President, Asif Ali Zardari was on Friday, Mar 13 asked to go by the Pakistan Army and Pakistan Prime Minister, Yousuf Raza Gilani , if he fails to accept the new plans hatched by them in consultation with foreign powers, to ease the situation in the Pakistan.

The new political deal that will bring down the heat in Pakistan has been planned by foreign powers such as Washington and London.

Gilani has been given 24 hours to convince Zardari in agreeing to the deal before the 'long march' reaches Islamabad, failing of which would not create any positive results.

It is now left to Zardari to accept the deal or not.

What happens if Zardari does not accept the deal?

-Army and foreign powers will implement 'minus-one formula'.

-Presidents office will be completely marginalised, Zardari will be removed.

-Gilani will take over as power will be restored to PM office.

-Nawaz Sharif's PML(N) will join the cabinet

-Deposed SC chief Justice Iftikar Chaudhary will be reappointed.

What are the terms of the deal?

- Removal of Punjab Governor Salman Taseer, who is an obstacle to good relations between the PPP and the PML(N).

- Implementation of the new Constitutional package through the Parliament.

- The deal also demands the restoration of Supreme Court Justice Ifthikar Chaudhary.
