4 arrested in Aman Kuchroo murder case
Dharmashala, Mar 11: Himachal Pradesh government ordered a probe into the death of Aman Kachroo who died on Sunday, Mar 8 after being brutally ragged by the seniors. Four students are arrested and have been charged with culpable homicide.
But Aman's family is angry that the college administration failed in preventing such an incident from happening and urged to close down the institution. Aman joined Dr Rajendra Prasad Medical College, Tanda in last Aug. He was allegedly beaten up by fully drunk third year students as Aman is not local.
There have been allegations that principal Suresh Sankhyan is close to the father of one of the four seniors who allegedly tortured Aman and is trying to protect them. Abhinav Verma, Mukul Sharma, Naveen Verma and Ajay Verma are the four seniors who are arrested in connection with the case.
The police said Aman went to the college hospital with complaints of pain in the head and ear. His condition deteriorated on Sunday, Mar 8 and he died that night. The post-mortem confirmed that head injuries caused death. Aman's death shows the menace of ragging still exist in society.
