Dakota Fanning confirmed as 'Twilight' sequel cast member

London, March 9 (ANI): Teen actress Dakota Fanning has been confirmed to star alongside Robert Pattinson in the sequel of the romantic-fantasy film 'Twilight'.

Rumours were abuzz that the 14-year-old would play the role of Jane, a member of the Italian Volturi vampires.

The film's producers have finally backed those reports by saying the 'Hounddog' star would indeed be cast a bloodsucking vampire in New Moon.

The shooting for the sequel is due to begin in Italy this year, reports the Daily Star.

However, Fanning has previously insisted on pursuing a college degree, and may put her an acting career on hold to chase her academic dreams. (ANI)
