Helena to play Enid Blyton in TV drama

London, Mar 07 (ANI): Hollywood actress Helena Bonham Carter has landed the role of renowned children's book author Enid Blyton in major TV drama.

The BBC4 show will tell an interesting story of the author, who wrote acclaimed books like The Famous Five, The Secret Seven, Malory Towers and Noddy.

"It's a long time since I have read such a well-written script with as complex and fascinating a character as Enid," the Sun quoted Helena as saying.

This is the first time that Enid Blyton's life will be turned into a motion picture.

The show, with Matthew Macfadyen as Enid's first husband, is in roduction and will air this year. (ANI)
