Lindsay doesn't own Big Apple pad

New York, Mar 6 (ANI): An apartment in New York, allegedly owned by Lindsay Lohan, is up for grabs for 1.2 million dollars - but the only catch is that the money won't go to the actress' pocket.

According to reports by MSNBC.com, the LA Times online and other media outlets, the 'Mean Girls' star had put the property on sale.

But now, sources have revealed that the 22-year-old never owned the condo in the Atelier on West 42nd Street.

"The Atelier gave her the use of the apartment in exchange for hosting a few events a year. She never bought it," The New York Post quoted a source close to Lohan as saying.

Another source said: "She spent maybe a night or two there, but she has always lived in Los Angeles. She stays in hotels when she comes to Manhattan." A rep for Lohan confirmed,

"It's not true that she is selling it - she doesn't own it."

And now, River 2 Realty is marketing the apartment, which was apparently sold to an investor at some point.

A rep for the Atelier said: "The apartment is currently in contract and is being marketed by a third party without Atelier's knowledge." (ANI)
