U2 may match Rolling Stones record with new album
London, March 5 (ANI): U2 may soon create chart history with their new album, which appears set to become their 10th number one.
The Irish rock band seem on the edge to equal the record of Rolling Stones and would stand at par with them if their "No Line on the Horizon" tops the charts on March 8.
The group would, still however, have to wait for some time before reaching the success of The Beatles which reign with 15 number one albums followed by Elvis Presley's 11, reports the Daily Express.
U2 have won 22 Grammy Awards - more than any other band - and were also inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005.
Rolling Stone magazine listed the band at number 22 in its list of the 100 greatest artists of all time. (ANI)
